The CDL Truck Driving Program at Wallace 社区学院 will prepare you to operate a commercial vehicle and pass the commercial driver’s license (CDL) exam safely and effectively. The program runs for 4 weeks. Includes theory and skills per FMCSA rules. Must be an Alabama resident with a valid Alabama driver’s license or provide proof of employment with an Alabama-based company to participate.
Required 登记 Steps
Step 1: Study and take your knowledge test(s) for your permit at your local DMV, you will be required to have your DOT physical with you when you go to take your permit test. Find a certified DOT examiner near you
Step 2: Email your DOT physical, permit and driver’s license to Ms. 科西亚:正手 kforehand@olaio.net
Step 3: Upon receipt of the above-mentioned documents, you will be emailed a link to the online entry level driver training (ELDT) theory course. Once you complete this course, additional documents will be requested. Computer labs are available by request.
Step 4: These items must be completed 不超过 30 days prior to the first day of class. You will receive an email requesting these documents. Please do not obtain these documents until you are instructed to do so.
- Chain-of-Custody 药物的屏幕 results (a release will be emailed to you)
- 汽车报告 (3 Year) –Obtain a copy of your 汽车报告 (MVR)
Step 5: After completion of theory, behind-the-wheel training is scheduled. Eligible candidates are informed by email.

*Effective February 7, 2020, Alabama allows individuals ages 18-20 to apply for a Class A CDL:
- No hazmat or passenger endorsements
- Prohibited from operating oversize or specially configured loads requiring a permit from ALDOT.
- Limited to commercial driving within the State of Alabama only (intrastate)
